UPDATE (14/11/10): Big boss Aki of GSC has posted on his twitter account that the announcement at AFA X was not a confirmation of BRS2, but was misinterpreted but the wider community. He writes that he and his staff are still eager to make a sequel to the original.
Even with this disappointing news, it still sounds likely that BRS2 will be made at some point.
According to 2ch, plans for a sequel to last summer’s 「Black★Rock Shooter」 OVA by Ordet was revealed by Goodsmile Company president Takanori Aki at Anime Festival Asia (AFA X). An official press release is expected to be made available soon.
